Review:The first thing I would like to tell any new viewer of Asian boys love dramas, keep in mind that the storyline comes from a different culture. I know I struggle with some of the storylines due to these differences. Many boys love dramas are very sweet in the interactions between the couples. They are also often very inexperienced and innocent. Additionally, one or both of the leads in the couple will begin the story thinking they are straight. The other may be gay, bi, or straight at the beginning of the story. Another aspect of these dramas is the fact that there are typically several couples in the series that interact as co-workers or friends. One of my thoughts while watching one of the dramas -- "What's in the water?" How can so many "straight" guys become gay? That being said, I absolutely love reading gay romance and boys love mangas. When I branched out to animes and then the Asian dramas and obsession was born. My Engineer the Series was a fun series to watch and was easy to access on YouTube since I watched it after it had originally aired. Duen has an innocent personality and can come off a bit simple. His relationship with Bohn begins due to an accident. Bohn is known to be a bully and forces Duen to bring him a rose a day in repayment. To make matters worse, Bohn's arch-nemesis, Frong, also meets Duen. Frong is attracted to Duen and becomes a third wheel in the relationship. The series also includes two other couples: Ram and King, Boss and Mek. In all honesty, I loved the side couples more than the main couple. I was really hoping to see another season where we would get to see their relationships grow. Unfortunately, issues arose and the series was not continued. Even so, I still feel that the series is a good one to watch and feel confident in my rating of 4.4 stars.

Hello everyone! When my life took a turn for the unbearable in 2019, I started watching Asian based shows; specifically, anime and yaoi/ boys love dramas. Watching these shows has helped me get through some very dark times, so I've decided to start a blog where I can share my thoughts on the ones I've watched.
If you're interested in finding some to watch, you can find some on Netflix, YouTube, and several apps. I mostly watch on my phone: VIKI, Gagaoolala, and iQIYI. Want to search out what's available and where to find it, My Drama List was recommended to me: https://mydramalist.com/ . I'm excited about this new project and can't wait to share these amazing shows with you. |
