Well, it's still Sunday and I made it on here to create a blog entry. The weekend has been a rough one. It seemed like one thing after another went wrong or exploded into a stressful situation that I just had to walk away from. What made it worse is that I was feeling pretty isolated and alone.
Because of my social anxiety, it's difficult for me to open up to others. I don't make friends easily and I often feel like a burden to those friends I have. Most of the time I suffer in silence because the thought of picking up a phone or sending a message to a friend feels like too much. Too much openness and too much burden. So in the middle of a bad weekend, I turned to mask making to keep me focused on something different. I'm making some for a 6-year old little boy, his grandmother asked for superheros for him. It was a bit different to make the smaller masks, just because of the size. Even so, when you line them up, there doesn't seem to be a huge difference in the actual finished size. Maybe a 1/2 to a full inch difference from one size to the next. The good news, I can now make two child's sizes: 3-6 years and 7-12 year, along with the two adult sizes. If you or someone you know needs a mask, please send them my way. On the writing front, I finished my chapters for three of the co-authored books yesterday, so they are now in Siobhan's hands again. I'm waiting on her to finish her chapter in a forth book, too. Wondering what books are coming next? The Hidden Path by S.J. Cupla, Her Eternal B.O.B. by Ella Rose & Kate Linn, and the next two Blood Angels MC RH series books are both moving forward as well. In my solo world, I'm working on my Fall release for the Forever Safe series, Fall in Love. I'm super excited about all of these stories and can't wait to get them finished and released to all of you. If you're not following me on your favorite vendor, you might want to make sure you are. This week looks like a busy week of mask making and writing, so be prepared for lots of face mask pictures and book news. XOXOXO, Josette

My emotions (anxiety/depression) continues to take me where it wants to go. Because of this I haven't been able to keep up on my schedule of posting to the blog, promoting my books, or posting live videos on Facebook as planned. If you're interested in those live videos, see mine and S.E. Isaac's Facebook group: As part of my getting healthier plan, it is important for me to keep myself productive and to keep moving forward. However, it is easy to beat myself up when I fall down on the job. So, I have realized that it is just as important to understand that there will be setbacks and to give myself a break. Celebrate the victories and acknowledge the lapses - because that's what they are, lapses, not failures. QTW: "Be Fearlessly Authentic." ~Sotiria S., New Jersey (from my Dove chocolate) So, I would like to celebrate the successes by announcing FOUR co-written releases! S.E. and I have been working tirelessly to get the four of these books released in both print and ebook. As of today, they should be available at all major retailers. And, all of these series are in process for the next release to come out hopefully this year. The Dark Rebels were both originally released in the "Dark Leopards MC Anthology" but we have done an edit and review to polish them up a bit for this release. The overall stories have not changed, so no need to purchase if you already own the anthology. In other news, my son started at college this week. This is a huge step for him and we are both equal parts excited and nervous for him. He graduated in 2018 and we never thought he'd attend college. Our son is extremely smart but struggles with autism tendencies which cause his brain to move exceptionally fast; and, therefore, he becomes quickly and easily bored and distracted. Please keep him in your thoughts as he begins his journey in the field of IT - following in his dad's footsteps. My granddaughter is growing like a week and, sadly, my daughter had to go back to work this week. Luckily, her mother-in-law lives close enough and is able to watch her in their home. The kids work second shift, so it is extremely amazing that her maw-maw is able to do this. I know it alleviates a lot of my daughter's worries. In other accomplishments, I've been working on a bunch of "face coverings"! So many great prints out there and I've become addicted to buying more fabric when I go out to the store. However, that just means my family and I have a mask for ever occasion or mood. I've also decided to sell these masks, I can make them in size large, small, and children's. I'll be selling them for $10USD each shipped in the US. Internationally, I'll have to see how much shipping costs would be. Email me at [email protected] if you are interested. You can also reach me on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/josette.reuel. Well, that's the updates for now. Stay Safe and Be Kind!
XOXOXO, Josette My blog post is a day late because I was busy working on some projects for my daughter and granddaughter yesterday. They are coming to visit for a few days starting tomorrow! We didn't have confirmation until late last week as my son-in-law was still waiting to hear back about his day off request. Our Babybel is 10 weeks old now and I can't wait to see how much she's changed since I've seen her a month ago. My daughter sends pictures and other updates but it's just not the same as seeing her in person. So, my mind is solely focused on getting ready for their arrival. We've been cleaning and moving things around so that they would have a place to sleep. We worked on setting up our back deck -- which the husband has been redoing -- because we are having a cookout for our daughter. The cookout is to allow her to have people over to see the baby. With her living in Kentucky, it makes it difficult during the Covid-19 world to visit, so she's really excited to finally allow some of her friends and family to see Babybel for the first time. Even so, in book news, my co-author and I have been hard at work trying to finish a few of our WIPs... Note: This is the first look at "Her Ultimate B.O.B." and "The Hidden Path" covers. Ginny's Angels is the first in the Blood Angels MC reverse harem paranormal romance series. There are three other books in process as well. Her Ultimate B.O.B. is the second in the Batteries Not Required reverse harem science-fiction/ fantasy series. There is currently one more book planned for this series but we have had a request for the S.K.S. from book one to receive their story. The Hidden Path is the second book in the Tutela Brotherhood dark paranormal romance series. This series is also a reverse harem series. Please note, as this series is dark romance, if you have triggers you may not want to read this series. In other romance sub-genres, I'm working on plotting an erotica series which will be published under my Simone Evans pen name. S.E. and I are also work on a paranormal romance series and have Forever Safe releases for Fall and Christmas. In between all of this fun, there is discussion with Crystal St. Clair about a Christmas series or anthology, the next Dasreach Council Novel, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
I hope you will continue to follow me (us) and I'd love to hear your thoughts about any of my current releases. Please leave a review or send me a message with your thoughts. Time to work on some more projects for the baby, so until next time, read lots and stay safe. XOXOXO, Josette Part of my plans for a healthier me is to blog at least once a week. I've chosen Sunday's since they tend to be more relaxed. Even though I don't work a 9 to 5, on-site job anymore, there is just something about a lazy Sunday afternoon.
One thing that isn't relaxing... trying to figure out a topic for the blog. I might be able to think of a million story ideas but I sit down at my computer to write something to share with all of you and my mind goes blank. I suffer from severe social anxiety and even though a blog post is as distanced from social interaction as I can get, I still stress over every word. Even so, I'm determined to stick to my plan and share something with you every single Sunday. So... who here is as shocked as I am that it's already August 2, 2020? This year has been full of change for me. Not only the pandemic but my first grandchild arrived in May. My son also moved back home and we are crossing our fingers that he and his friends can find a place soon. I miss being able to visit friends and family. And, shocking as it may seem for an introvert, I miss attending book signings where I have the chance to talk books with authors and readers. Travel wears me out but I still love to do it. Being locked up in my house this much... well, I've begun to realize how much I used to get out of here. Go ahead and laugh at me, I know I am. With all of this turmoil and change, I'm still fighting to write and my partner (S.E. Isaac) and I are diligently trying to find our connection to the head-space where we can connect to our muses. We have already released several new books and our currently working on a minimum of four that we hope to release real soon. On Saturday, we announced our newest series, the "Blood Angels MC RH" series which is a paranormal erotic romance about motorcycle-riding vampires who find their human mate. Make sure to follow me so you don't miss these steamy new reverse harem menage releases. XOXOXO Josette |
